当時、化学の担任は大学出たての○○芳枝という先生でした。
この先生は美人でスタイルは良く、しかし堅物の感じがする人でした。
私はこの先生に一目惚れしていたのです。
ある休日、僕が本屋に行こうと道を歩いていると女性が前を歩いているので近ずいたとき、その先生とわかり、「先生こんにちは」と挨拶したら向こうも微笑んで挨拶してくれて、少し話したら先生のマンションは僕の家の方向だったのです。
